Compare the fit before the headline price
A useful first-polo comparison starts with riding experience, location and format. A lower published price may be for a group place, while another option may be private, longer or include a different level of coaching. Compare the same number of people and the same riding level.
Public information is a starting pointThe options above come from providers’ own pages and are not presented as PoloSolo partners. Ask the provider to reconfirm the exact session, total price and date before booking.
Being new to polo is not the same as being new to riding
Some providers explicitly list formats for people who have never ridden. Others describe polo lessons for riders who already have horse-riding experience. PoloSolo separates those two situations rather than treating every “beginner” session as interchangeable.
For a group, use the least experienced participant when checking eligibility.
Use one checklist for price and inclusions
- Price per person or for the full group
- Coaching time and total visit duration
- Pony, helmet, mallet and any other equipment
- Weekday, weekend or seasonal restrictions
- Cancellation and weather rescheduling terms
If no price is published, PoloSolo leaves it as “contact the provider” rather than estimating one.
Choose the journey you will actually make
The comparison covers London, Surrey and Hertfordshire. Consider the final journey from the station, start and finish times, and whether the provider can accommodate your preferred day. A geographically closer option may be a better first experience than a cheaper but difficult journey.
Turn the comparison into one structured request
The PoloSolo matcher records your travel area, riding confidence, main goal, budget comfort and timing. The resulting enquiry gives a provider enough context to confirm a suitable route without pretending that public availability is live.
