What we publish
Every destination page must answer a specific solo-travel decision, link the evidence behind factual claims, name the responsible author or editorial desk, and display its research state. A source-access date records when the source was consulted; it is not a promise that the service will remain unchanged.
First-hand experience and contributor labels
Source-led research, independent human review and first-hand experience are different evidence types. PoloSolo names a contributor and visit date only when that person supplied the experience and permitted publication. None of the current city guides claims a named first-hand PoloSolo visit.
What AI may help with
AI may help find candidate sources, compare official pages, organize research, draft route options and improve clarity. AI-assisted source research is labelled as desk research. Safety-sensitive details—such as emergency contacts and last-service times—remain qualified, cited and subject to independent human review; pages awaiting that review stay out of search indexing.
Official advice and editorial judgment
Government travel advice is summarized separately from SoloScore. The issuing government and its intended audience are named. Traveler reports are experience signals, not facts; merchant pages are inventory sources, not independent endorsements.
Corrections and updates
Material corrections update the page's visible change record and evidence trail. Rapidly changing or high-risk information is removed or returned to “research in progress” when the evidence cannot be reviewed on time.
Commercial independence
Affiliate participation does not buy a ranking. Editorial answers come before commercial modules. When no approved partner offer exists, no empty commercial placeholder is shown.
