The useful starting point
Show the quantity by reference, colour and fit, and ask which minimum applies to each part of the brief. Label estimates honestly and keep mixed categories separate until their terms are confirmed.
Ask whether the minimum applies per colour, style or size
A minimum order quantity is meaningful only with its basis. Ask whether the proposed condition applies to the entire style, each colour, each size, a decoration method or a packaging component. Also ask whether a repeat order follows the same basis. Record the answer against the exact reference and specification being quoted.
PoloSolo does not publish a universal minimum across bags, breeches and gloves. The team confirms order conditions for the selected style, options and quantities. Do not treat the sum of several categories as evidence that every line qualifies, or infer a custom-logo minimum from a plain-product discussion.

| Basis to ask about | Example question | Record with the answer |
|---|---|---|
| Style | Does the minimum apply to this exact reference and specification? | Reference, version, quantity and unit |
| Colour | Does each colour need a separate quantity? | Colour references and permitted split |
| Size or fit | Can sizes be mixed, and are adult and junior fits separate? | Confirmed chart and quantity matrix |
| Decoration | Does this logo method or individual naming change the minimum? | Artwork, method and scope |
| Labels and packaging | Are there separate quantities or charges for custom components? | Label/pack version and treatment of any unused components |
Separate estimates from confirmed first-order quantities
Use the evidence you have: shop sales, customer requests, a club member list or a launch budget. State what the number represents. A member count may become an order only after sizes and participation are confirmed; a store's initial estimate may change once product options and costs are clear. Put ‘estimated’ beside those quantities so the quote discussion starts with the right assumption.
Avoid using a supplier's minimum as your only demand forecast. Ask for a proposal based on the assortment you intend to sell or distribute, then review the commercial conditions. If your plan does not fit, discuss fewer variations, a different reference or a sample-first conversation. Any smaller or mixed order option needs explicit confirmation; it is not assumed here.
Keep mixed categories and size runs as separate lines
A brief can contain bags, breeches and gloves, but each category needs its own quantities and unit. Keep BAG references in units, breeches in garments and gloves in pairs as specified. Within clothing and gloves, keep adult and junior fit groups separate and add the required colour and size breakdown.
Ask whether the proposed size or colour mix is accepted for the selected product. Do not assume that a large overall total offsets a smaller quantity in one colour, or that adult and junior styles share the same minimum. Use the size-run guide for the detailed matrix and check that its totals match the quantity summary sent for quotation.
- One row per reference, colour and fit
- One stated unit per row
- Separate size matrix where fit is involved
- Row, category and overall totals checked
- No unconfirmed combining of minimums across categories
Send a clear quantity brief for the manual quote
Add your logo and packaging plans, delivery country and desired timing to the quantity lines. If those details are undecided, identify which options you want compared. Ask the quotation to show the applicable minimum basis, sample arrangements, charges and any conditions attached to the assortment.
Before confirming the order, replace estimates with the agreed quantities and approve the matching specification and quotation revision. PoloSolo's process uses manual confirmation followed by the agreed offline payment stages. A quantity in your first enquiry email is a discussion starting point, so keep the final accepted order record distinct from the first estimate.
