Lisbon, Portugal · Solo itinerary
Lisbon solo itinerary: leave room to choose
Use three days for the compact historic core, Belém and Alfama/Graça. With five days, add a lower-pressure modern Lisbon day and one independently checked day trip rather than packing every evening.
Core three days
- Day 1 — Baixa, Chiado and the Tagus: establish your bearings in daylight; choose a walking tour for an optional social start.
- Day 2 — Belém: group the riverside, Jerónimos area and museums; verify current opening and renovation notices before committing to timed entry.
- Day 3 — Alfama and Graça: allow extra time for steep cobbles, viewpoints and Fado; decide the late return before dinner.
Add for five days
- Day 4 — Parque das Nações or a quieter museum-and-garden day for a change of pace.
- Day 5 — Sintra or another hosted day trip, after checking the operator, transport and return plan for your actual date.
Booking rule
Check current opening, renovation and transport notices for your actual dates; keep one half-day movable.
Travel on your terms
Every day needs an alternative
Quiet and social options are paired without treating meeting people as a requirement.
Quiet version
Use museums, gardens, riverside walks and early dinners. Keep one unplanned half-day so weather, fatigue or closures do not break the trip.
Social version
Add one small-group activity at the start, then choose a food tour, cooking class or hosted day trip. Social activity is optional, not a requirement for a successful solo trip.
Cost rule
Use the verified transport fares as anchors, then price timed attractions and the actual accommodation dates. Do not rely on a generic daily average.
